
It was strange watching the sun peek over the ridge and noting the time was 8:17 a.m. The Goddess is weaving a longer and longer train with which to Veil the world until Yule. Once the sun was up, however, the sky is that amazing color blue that makes you want to dance and sing for the beauty of all things.
Most of the rest of my day is going to be spent in the car. Returning a purchase to a store, selling a few books, meeting with a couple about their wedding (which I’m officiating), and then the long trip to Atlanta and back to pick up my daughter. These are just downbeats in my normal life rhythm — raising my daughter, helping others, getting along as best I can.
Witchvox is featuring my article Let Slip The Past, Free The Now this week. I’m hoping that it will give people some insight into their own patterns of interaction and help them find the strength to let go and move on and embrace again with joy instead of judgment.
If you can today, try and get outside for a bit and feel the edge of the blade that is Samhaine. Dance on the curved edge of the moon. Crush the autumn leaves beneath your feet and smell the fragrance of death rising to meet you. Sigh — one long exhale — and know that in the end, that’s what the End is: you giving back the first breath you borrowed when you entered this world. Only you return the breath with the accrued interest of all you have learned and become, enriching the Soul of the World with your journey.
