I just wanted to thank you for this article. The Universe is infinitely amazing - I just happen to come upon this at a crucial period in my life when I needed to read these EXACT words. After dealing with a ghost from my past, something I could not (and would not)release, I have finally begun that process - and your article just took me a step closer.

Your words are so true and full of wisdom, and so reflective of my state of mind right now, that I look at this article and a gift, so thank you.

Thank you so much for the kind praise and I feel equally blessed to have you in my life this time around. As for the wisdom part, I got what little I do have by being a know-it-all, getting my butt pounded so I could see how much I didn't know, and then sitting at the feet of the Universe and paying attention. I don't feel especially wise some days... only in respect to my own growth, I suppose. I've learned things meant for me. I'm still working on learning how to teach those things to others in ways that don't go only to the head, but to the higher heart.

As for continuing to write, it is what I was born to do. And so I shall!

So beautifully eloquent! How did you get so wise in so few years? I am so blessed to have you in my life as my precious friend. You're a born philosopher and teacher - keep writing and sharing and shedding light for our dark spirits to seek and find.

You have given me a lot to think about with this post Sitara, and it's going to take a lot of mental work to fully absorb what you have written here, but I think you have given me the wake up call I need and a starting point from which to begin searching for my inner child so I can take her hand and unclench it not only to receive the gift of “now”, but to let go of the pain of “then”.
You always seem to know when I'm feeling a little lost, and manage to post something that helps me find my way.
Thank you for being here.

It took me a long time to read this post...well, longer than usual. It was worth it. :)

You and I have talked about "personal power"...and you have written eloquently here about one important aspect of that power...the uncomfortable, scary place of knowing that NOW is what is real, where all the action is.

The insight you share here about relationships with people and with organizations is spot on. This portion struck me as particularly poignant:

"You cannot bury a child you’ve lost (and most groups/organizations are labors of love) and then dig it up years later and swaddle the bones. It won’t matter how you dress it up. The Mother has taken it to her breast."

Organizations, relationships, jobs...we try to hard to resurrect that which should be allowed to remain at rest, all the while squandering the power we do have.

Excellent post, Sitara...excellent post.
