Great to know! I'm glad you are making progress with them. I've known a number of people who have "Vata" energy, and yes, it can be difficult to maintain grounding. However, I would also point out that those who are Vata play a specific energy role in the world as well. Don't ground so much that you lose the unique energy that is YOU!

I would also say that I don't find grounding when working creatively or magickally to be very necessary when in the process. You *WANT* that lighter inspiration from the vertical plane to flow to you and you want to be part of that. The place the grounding needs to assuredly occur is when you are done with the inspiration part and you are trying to make the creative process concrete (bring it into material being). Then the grounding process can help you make it come together and not just stay in the "light and flighty" inspiration space all the time.

I, too, find earthy scents good for grounding. One of the best "incenses" for grounding is the smell of food cooking. Try it sometime!

Why, thank you! It's not just beautiful, it works! I hope you get to try it and feel the difference in gently spinning those chakras into a filtering blossom for yourself.

Speaking of Witchvox, it's been a while since I sent things to them. They have a few things in queue of mine, but I don't know if they're holding them for some reason, or what's going on. Who knows!

Try taking that stone out and sit on the earth, preferably when you're pretty sure you won't be distracted by the sounds of cars and such. Simply ask the stone to show you its power for you and then be aware of your body. It may make you feel extremely peaceful. It may make your third eye tingle. It may help you "see" things. Or it may help you feel as much a part of the earth as that rock is hard. Stones do communicate. But communication is two-way. You do have to ask the question. :-)

Does it matter what kind of stone you use? I have very few crystals or semi precious stones, but an abundance of just plain "found on the desert" stones. Most of them resemble river rock since our desert was once under water.
I pick them up when I take my walks, or sometimes just walking from the house to the barn I will see one that catches my eye. (Rocks are our best crop here in Arizona, they seem to grow up out of the ground over night). : )
I have one that I am particularly fond of. I found it right after one of our rare rains and when I picked it up it "sang" to me. When I hold it, it tingles and tickles my hand as though it is alive and trying to communicate with me. Maybe it's been telling me it is my grounding stone. I'll try using it the next time I need to ground myself.
