I read a pagan book a few months ago in which the author said "an expert is someone who has learned enough to realize how much s/he doesn't know about a particular subject". :) I try to keep that in mind at all times.

I read my share of older books too, and I feel your pain. The best information on Italian witchcraft, other than the books by Raven Grimassi, are from Charles Godfrey Leland... written over a century ago. So on the one hand it's a must-read; on the other, one must be constantly vigilant about data that may have been revealed since that time which undermine his conclusions.

Sitara;
Thank-you for your kind words and wishes. After thinking about it, I did submit a couple of "insights". Mind you not the last one;~), so here's holding my fingers and keeping my legs crossed! :)

Well met, Sitara ;)

Yes *lol* I did find somebody - me ... not easy these days to find people to do work with no payment for and no bringing down the house because of having an article translated.

I will for sure ask you for more in the future - as I think your articles are quite thought provoking (or at least should be!)

Unfortunately at the moment we do not offer an opportunity to discuss our articles as caring for a forum as big as ours was is more than I can manage these days. But maybe there will be a chance for at least some comments in the near future. If so - I´ll let you know ;)

Bright blessings

Well, even I have my areas of I DO NOT KNOW. I have bunches of them. But if I'm going to throw it out there, I will at least give the trail of bread crumbs to show how I got from point A to point Z. I don't necessarily like writing about history because what we know if it changes as our depth and understanding changes. Cutting edge books from 80 years ago are often looked down on today, not because they were wrong THEN, but because we just know MORE or BETTER. I feel like what a person understands is similar to looking out a window. The frame limits your perspective, the house you're in limits your perspective, and how dirty the glass limits your clarity. We do the best we can to get out of the house (unless it's the point of view from the house that is helpful), and everyone should do what they can to clean the glass. Especially if you're standing so close to it admiring yourself that the window fogs up. Then you can't see squat -- self OR subject!

I just try not to make too big a fool of myself. :-)

Anufa!! So good to hear from you again! I'm so glad you have been able to find someone to do the translation -- let me know if you get some good feedback and what that feedback is. The Craft is practiced differently around the world and so I'm always interested in how applicable my writing might be for another culture. Let me know if there's any other articles you'd like to reprint/translate for Wurzelwerk. Depending on where they've been in print before, there may be some wait time before you can reprint them for WW. I can let you know as the situation arises. Again, thanks! So nice to be establishing a name abroad! Blessed be!

Millie, if you haven't already considered it, get hold of the NewWitch/PanGaia/SageWoman publishing group and find out how to submit an article to their new magazine called Crone. I've been reading your emails with some of your insights, and you should really consider sending some of your work in to that magazine. It's newly launched, and I'm sure you would both enjoy it and be a welcome addition! **cross-country hugs**

There's a lot of crappy stuff on WitchVox. I've seen blatant errors in a number of articles there... I'm not talking about differences of opinion, but people stating things that were just flat-out wrong; I'm sure not intentionally but just out of ignorance. Perhaps they're happy to get someone who really knows her stuff, and who also knows how to say it in a manner that holds the reader's attention.
